Just finished reading the SCBWI Bulletin and two of our clients were mentioned…Lucine Kasbarian’s book The Greedy Sparrow was chosen as an Honor Book in the 2012 Storytelling World Resources Awards. Lucine is terrific! She’s smart, funny, articulate and a fabulous storyteller!

We’ve been writing some Common Core Standards guides for publishers and authors recently, so of course I was interested to read Grace Nall’s article about them in the Bulletin. I was happy to see that she mentions Karen Winnick, another author client of ours. Grace uses Karen’s book Mr. Lincoln’s Whiskers (published by Boyds Mills Press) as an example in the article. We’ve always really liked that book and are glad that it may be getting a closer look thanks to Lincoln’s popularity this year!
